Banstead is situated
just south of the London conurbation and just inside the M25, possibly
the busiest motorway in the U.K. Banstead is the largest of a group of
villages at the north end of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead.
The church is just to the west of the village next to the A217, the Brighton Road. The only other Methodist church in the Banstead part of the borough is about a mile away at Great Tattenhams, Epsom Downs and is now combined with St. Marks C of E. It is also a part of the Banstead 5 Churches, an ecumenical group of 1 Roman Catholic, 1 URC, 1 Methodist and 2 Anglican churches who have signed a covenant to work together in Banstead. |
