Farewell Party
On Saturday 10 July a Farewell Party was held for the Wright Family. Nigel Wright has been our Minister for 4 years, while Nigel's wife, Heather has been working as a Families and Youth Worker. The Wrights are leaving at the end of July to take up new ministries in Leighton Buzzard.
Phil Sandiford was the M.C. and got the evening off to good start with a number of games and quizzes. For the younger members, Evelyn had organised a “Pin the tail on the elephant” game plus some other rather messy games involving chocolate! Jo Woodward baked a special cake.
Senior Steward, Shirley Breeden thanked Nigel and Heather for their very hard work and made a presentation. Shirley said they are leaving a good legacy which will develop and she hopes that when they look back at us in a few years time they will see the fruit of their labours.
