Social Activities

Open House:  A social afternoon for people of all ages, although it mostly consists of retired people.
Activities include chatting over tea and home-made cakes, occasional outings and special events.
Open House takes place on Tuesday afternoons (2.00 pm - 4.00 pm).
There is no charge, although a small donation towards the cost of refreshments is suggested.
It may be possible to provide transport.

Badminton Club: Our club is essentially an adult social badminton club although young people over 13 may attend if they have a keen interest in playing.  It runs on Thursday evenings from 8pm to 10pm throughout the year with a few exceptions.  We play in the Vallins Hall which has one court and we play doubles throughout the evening.  We mainly play with feather shuttlecocks.  Basic instruction on how to play and/or scoring can be provided if required.  A maximum of 14 players can be accommodated per session.

Fees are paid on a pay-as-you-play basis at £2 for adults and £1 for youth per session.
