Message from our Minister
Coronavirus Action – Suspension of Public Worship Services

In the light of the latest government advice, sadly we have taken the decision to suspend our public worship services for the time being, to help protect the most vulnerable.

Through our website, and printed materials for those without access to the web, we’ll be providing devotional resources for you to engage with as we focus on what we can do, rather than what we can’t do.

So, our Sundays will look a little different for now. Of course, church doesn’t stop just because we can’t meet and there are other ways of joining in with worship.

Rosemary & Philip will be publishing a short interactive weekly  blog to enable Methodist churches in the north of the Sutton Circuit to share a weekly meditation and encourage comments and discussion (this will usually be refreshed each Friday). Please do read and comment.

The Circuit hopes to supply a weekly video – more details soon.

There will be a live stream available from Wesley’s Chapel on Sundays at 9:45 and 11:00.

You can also download a special Methodist ‘worship from home’ service sheet for each Sunday.

We will also be producing special meditations and worship resources for Holy Week and Easter.

Here are some useful downloadable ecumenical prayer resources…

Prayers about the outbreak

Prayers with children

Personal prayers

Pastoral care will need to be given in the first instance by telephone or email.  Please contact us and we will endeavour to do our best.  Let us all try to keep together and pray for each other as a church community, and for the wider community we are a part of.

Every blessing

Rosemary and Philip
